About Us

MISSION

The University of Florida is committed to providing an enriching Gator experience for children and youth engaged in *University of Florida-affiliated youth activities. The Office of Youth Conference Services focuses on the following key areas:

 

REGISTRATION

We equip you with a vehicle for registration and tracking of minors participating in your program or event. *UF affiliated organized youth activities are required to register with the Office of Youth Conference Services prior to beginning program operations.

EDUCATION

We deliver educational resources on youth protection strategies, applicable policies and laws, and mandatory reporting requirements.

COMPLIANCE

We provide guidance on compliance requirements for *UF affiliated organized youth activities, assist you with navigating through methods for reporting child abuse or neglect, and conduct internal monitoring activities to ensure compliance.

 

*A UF affiliated organized youth activity is defined as a university-affiliated sponsored activity that has a participant group made up, in whole or part, of unmarried individuals under the age of eighteen who have not been emancipated by order of the court.
